Is it feasible to take the motherboard out of it, purchase a 200W IBM PC supply ($50) from Computer Shopper and a mini tower case ($95), a 3 1/2" drive and a 1/2 ht 20MB hard disk and build a Mac system box. Add a Samsung full-page display for $479 with its interface card and I have a decent enough system with large screen capabilities. What problems can I expect to run into here? o Power supply connector pin specs for the motherboard? o Finding a 3 1/2" drive with auto-eject? o Matching the drive to the Mac electronics? o Hooking the ports from the motherboard to the back panel? o In the case of a Mac+ interfacing a hard disk to the board? I would appreciate any comments and criticism of this thought. thanks prabha -- Prabha Gopinath Off. (914)-945-6539 (m/c) Philips Research Laboratories Res.
