The Finder will launch the word processor and tell it to open the document. One gotcha: the app's BNDL has to mention the file type of the document. This makes it worthwhile to stick an alias for your word processor in an easy-to-reach place. I keep a folder named "Favorites" open in a small window at the bottom of my screen (where I used to put things on the desktop, before MultiFinder :-) and keep aliases of frequently-used apps there, ready for either double-clicking or dragging onto. ========================================================================== Rick Holzgrafe | {sun, voder, nsc, mtxinu, dual}!apple!rmh Software Engineer | AppleLink HOLZGRAFE1 rmh@apple.com Apple Computer, Inc. | "All opinions expressed are mine, and do 20525 Mariani Ave. MS: 3-PK | not necessarily represent those of my Cupertino, CA 95014 | employer, Apple Computer Inc."
