In many articles, many people discuss possible shortcomings of System 7
including the use of TeachText as the default 'TEXT' editor...

Does anybody know where the signature 'ttxt' is stored?  I would
expect it to be configurable.  If you change the creator of your
favorite editor to 'ttxt', I would expect it to become the default
editor.  I'll bet it even gets the name right in the dialog!
