THAT IS TRUELY ASSININE! Well, I accidently deleted more than I wanted to, but... One feature of System 7 is that you can launch a program and have it open up a file by dragging that file onto the application and 'letting go', similar to the way you throw things into the trash. I believe this feature works with alias's as well (I'll check, and get back if it doesn't.) What this means is that if you keep a folder of Alias's, or just, say, Word 4.0 (which is Sys7b1 compatible) or its alias on the desktop, then you can just drag a file onto it, and they will open. This basically seems to solve the 'default text editor' problem. 2) Apple has open up the system file. This is great no more font/da mover. BUT WHAT ABOUT FKEYS? Come on Apple just a few changes to some source and you can also drag Fkey files into the system folder. Thats not asking too much. I don't remember if you can drag sound files but if not you should include them too. You can drag in Sound files, but I'm not sure about FKeys. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Alan D.
