Gurney) Distribution: na Organization: Computer Science, Michigan State University, E. Lansing Lines: 21 My roommate and I wrote a program over the summer which allows you to convert just about all your Macintosh type-1 PostScript fonts to a direct Mac-usable form. You don't have to go through any "weird" steps, just transfer the files from a Mac (as a MacBinary file) to the NeXT, and then run our conversion program on them. NOTE: The AFM (Adobe Font Metric) files are necessary for the NeXT to recognize the fonts. Also, the corresponding Macintosh bitmapped Suitcase files are _NOT_ necessary. Just the actual PostScript file, and the AFM file. Our program can be found at 'sonata.cc.purdue.edu', in the directory /pub/next/source, filename 'mac-font2next.shar.Z'. Complete instructions are included in the file. Hope this helps. If you have any questions, just mail me. Eddy J.
