A software-only version will be For that price I'd bet my next pay-check that they actually buy a MacClassic, unplug the (legit) ROMs, put them into their S-Bus card, and then either throw away/sell for parts, etc, the rest of the MacClassic. A couple of years ago a company was selling Mac II "clones" that featured a heavier power supply and more drive bays. It was simply a Mac II motherboard bolted inside a PC tower case. There's nothing wrong with that method; it's just as legit as selling the ROMs out of a Mac that you yourself already own.
