We still haven't resolved the problem and while talking to Proteon they suggested that I post it here. HELP!!! I'm having problems getting the following cluster configuration to work: VM/HPO 5 +--------------------------------------+ | vm.tcs.tulane.edu | +-----+ | +-------------+ 129.81.128.1====| BTI | | | aixdev | | +-----+ | | 129.81.32.2 |-iucv-129.81.32.1 | | | +-------------+ | | +--------------------------------------+ |<-- Ethernet (subnet 128) | | +---------|-------------+ | 129.81.128.62 | | | | Proteon P-4200 | +--------------------+ | router | | PS/2 (zulu) | | | | | | 129.81.132.62 | | 129.81.132.32 | +---------|-------------+ +----------+---------+ | | | | |<-- Ethernet (subnet 132) +------------------------------+ Here is the output from a VM NETSTAT GATE command: VM TCP/IP Netstat R1.2.2 Known gateways: NetAddress FirstHop Link Pkt Sz Subnet Mask Subnet Value ---------- -------- ------ ------ ----------- ------------ Default 129.81.128.62 ETH1 1500 129.81.0.0 AIXDEV 2000 0.0.255.0 0.0.32.0 129.81.0.0 ETH1 1500 0.0.255.0 0.0.128.0 I am getting the following messages on the TCPIP machine on VM. ProcessIpOptions: bad option: 32 ProcessIpOptions: bad option: 129 ProcessIpOptions: bad option: 32 ProcessIpOptions: bad option: 129 (This is repeated over and over) This is the error message coming out on the p_4200 router console: ip.038: pkt 129.81.32.2 -> 129.81.128.62 prt 91 no srvr I can see traffic on the 128 subnet from 129.81.132.32 (zulu) to 129.81.32.2 (aixdev) packet length 96 type 91 and I see traffic from 129.81.32.2 (aixdev) to 129.81.128.62 (p4200) same packet length and type. I can succesfully telnet to aixdev from machines on both the 128 subnet and the 132 subnet. ANyone have any ideas as to what I might have wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, John/ Update: We have been able to get the cluster up if we put the PS/2 on the VM side of the router (packets do not go through the Proteon) but not if the packets go through the proteon.
