What is famd doing exactly? Why is it using so much CPU cycles? This is a big problem when you have a centralized /usr/mail. It can bring the server to its knees because of intensive network traffic. Shouldn't there be a parameter to mailbox that would allow it to poll the $MAILBOX at a lower rate? Will SGI people care to answer? Thank you.
