Hauser) Subject: PC-like Wordprocessor on Sun3/60 Workstation (with SunOS3.5) ? Message-ID: <1991Jan26.010636.7253@jarvis.csri.toronto.edu> Summary: MS-Word available in any form on Sun3 Keywords: MS-Word, Sun3 Organization: Dept. of Computer Science, University of Toronto Date: 26 Jan 91 06:06:36 GMT Expires: March 1991 Lines: 21 Is there a solution for my idea ? As I am already familiar with Microsoft Word on IBM-PC Compatibles and the MacIntosh-Machines, I would like to continue to use these skills for wordprocessing also on the Sun3-Workstation that is now at my disposal. Therefore my questions: 1. Does there exist a version of MS-Word running under the Sun Microsystems OS 3.5 or 4.1 ? 2. Do you know a MS-Dos or Mac-shell/emulation cooperating with the SunOS (or even X-Windows) on which I could run the respective version in a way, that the (PostScript)Output could be sent to network-Laserprinter ? 3. Are there other solutions ? I am interested in every suggestion. Thanks Ralf Hauser Fax: 1 (416) 978-4765 E-mail: ralf@hub.utoronto.ca or ralf@hub.toronto.edu
