Summary: How do you deal with RMS' favorite COFF-ENCAP? Keywords: ESIX, COFF, gprof, gcc. Message-ID: <1991Jan26.080111.749@portia.Stanford.EDU> Date: 26 Jan 91 08:01:11 GMT Organization: AIR, Stanford University Lines: 19 I would like to build gprof from GNU binutils package on my ESIX box, I read the READM-ENCAP and the assorted requirements in that file. I now suspect that it is not straightforward to make it work in USGr3 environment, not until I have something similar to ohio-state's coff patches. Has anyone successfully modified and built gprof for UNIX/386 R3.2 in general and ESIX in particular? I would appreciate it very much if you could mail me any necessary mods. gcc -p together with prof on my system does not produce all info I need for profiling. Thanks in advance.
