Try this: Run a EGA/VGA graphics program in full screen mode. Wait till you are in graphics mode. Now hit alt-enter. Graphics should be displayed in a window. (This is why I thought that graphics programs run in a window) Now try to give input to that program. No dice. (This is why I am posting this note.) What happened initially was that I 'ran' a chess program like this in a window. However, since I only know how to use it via mouse, and you can't have a DOS window using the mouse, I was unable to verify that the program actually 'runs'. I hope anyone who wasted time on pif files after my initial note will accept my sincerest apologies for the time wasted. Milan .
