I've got a Matrox PG1281 board that does 1280x1024x256 on my 20" Sony monitor. I originally got it to run X Windows under UNIX, for which it is marvelously suited. Now however I would like to use it under Windows 3.0. Matrox has been telling me a Windows 3.0 driver would be available Real Soon Now for over 7 months. I'm starting to believe that they are not going to ever offer a driver for this board. Are the architectures of 34010 boards sufficiently different that one cannot write a generic TIGA driver to work on most such existing boards? Any pointers to where I might obtain a driver for this board would be greatly appreciated.
