Does anyone have information on the format of .BMP files, such
as are used for wallpaper in windows 3.0? I'm trying to easily
import frame-grabbed photos for wallpaper, and the most
trouble-free approach would seem to be directly writing the
.BMP file from my own application. 

(I've tried using the Paintbrush FRIEZE program to create a PCX file,
then importing that into Windows Paint, but it scrambles the colors.)

Any help would be appreciated. Please e-mail directly, so we don't clog
the news files. If anyone else needs this information, I'll be glad to
forward whatever I get. Just let me know you need it.
