Hi there. I imagine fourteen people have already answered this one, but I will give it a shot, anyway just in case. For starters, it really helps 'round here when you ask for help if you let us know what synthesizer and what screen reader you're using. I suspect from what you've said that you're using an Artic 200 or Votalker card, though. What you have seen happen is 'normal' for those synthesizers on machines faster than 8 or 9 mhz-- most AT 286 and 386 machines, in other words. Unfortunately, both of these synthesizers were designed for XT machines and just don't work properly on the faster computers. Sometimes they do.. sometimes they don't, as you have seen. I have also noticed that as time goes on, they work less and less often. Comforting, huh? I had a Votalker in a 9mhz 286 for a year until that made me so crazy I got a new synthesizer. Good luck with it. --Carla -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!129!89!Carla.Campbell Internet: Carla.Campbell@f89.n129.z1.fidonet.org
