Yes, I know about the AT&T tollfree directory; however, since it isn't on audio cassette or in braille, it doesn't help me much. I get the feeling sometimes that when one group is accommodated someone is left out. I really don't see why this book couldn't be made accessible via modem or computer disk. Why couldn't the telephone users be able to contaDirectory Assistance and obtain phone numbers using their modems? The book may have been free once, but it isn't now. I don't recall the cost but have heard their advertisement whenever I've called and requested a phone number. After the recording gives the phone number there is a second recording you'll hear, if you don't hang up soon enough, advertising the availability of the directory and how to obtain one and the cost. Well, maybe some day we will all have equal access to everything! Until then we share our info and help each other when we can. Take care, Linda -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!130!10!Linda.Iverson Internet: Linda.Iverson@f10.n130.z1.fidonet.org
