RE:NEW ENGLISH BUDGIE

I have a regular budgie, and found out the hard way that she must have
iodine twice a week to keep her healthy.  I did not know this for the
first five years of her life and she now has a slugish thyroid.  She
is overweight and will be on thyroid medicine the rest of her life.  
I now have a very good vet who specializes in birds.  My vet also 
recommend you have your bird checked every year.  

Once Erin became tame I bought her a wood playground that is right 
outside her cage, and I never close her cage door.  Her cage sits
on my sons desk and all day when we are at work/school she plays
with all his toys and is very fond of his lego men and any coins.

I hope you enjoy your budgie as much as we enjoy Erin.
