If I was relying on an unproven weapon system to defend one of the most important air bases we had, I would have salvo'd off 5 or 6 of them, and scrambled every plane I had to get them out of the way. Instead, we see no unusual aircraft activity beforehand, and only one Patriot fired, and what appears to be normal ops happening at the airbase during and after. Talk about confidence.
