A new beta release of SRC Modula-3 1.6 is available via anonymous ftp
on gatekeeper.dec.com, in pub/DEC/Modula-3/m3-1.6beta. 

Corrected problems:

  - patch is no longer used to rebuild some of the machine specific
    files. Instead, we generate ed scripts. (There seems to be a problem
    between GNU diff and patch on some machines). 

  - a few bugs have been fixed, in particular in the heap management.

Orgass and Michael Wells for their comments about 1.6beta.
