Summary: have used but program is now commercial Message-ID: <1991Jan30.142639.19393@uncecs.edu> Date: 30 Jan 91 14:26:39 GMT References: <1991Jan30.103636.6829@uwasa.fi> Organization: UNC Educational Computing Service Lines: 13 The PC-Vault version that I have played with is a crippleware, basically demo version. It only allows you to use passwords such as "a", "b", etc. It also does not have subdirectory protection/permission, which one version of the full version has available. I don't know if the PCLock version is useable as such beyond being a demo. I would say that the PC-Vault version is not practically useful except as a preview. You would have to check with the company to see if pre-commercial versions are still permitted to be posted. -- Michael Volow, Psychiatry, Durham VA Med Center, Durham NC 27712 919 286 0411 Ext 6933 mvolo@ecsvax.edu
