Sure, GNU Emacs can load files up to 16MB in size, but due to the way it is written you don't wanna edit huge files with it unless you have your own workstation with some >16MB RAM (or more). With smaller machines the pageing resulting from editing huge files in Gnu Emacs is horrible..
