That is select a video mode and watch the picture. Resizing, cropping, etc. and saving the resulting image in a number of formats are not possible. Recently I discovered XV. This program runs under X-Windows and allows you to modify GIF-files in a large extend. The user interface of this program is rather superb. Via simple pop-up windows, clicking and dragging you are allowed to optimize and save the view. What I want is a program like XV but then for the PC. Is there such a program? If there is, could somebody please mail it to me. If there is not, perhaps it is time to think about making one...
