Hello PC maniacs,

All those of you familiar with CSHOW know that it is only possible to
view GIF-files in one way. That is select a video mode and watch the
picture. Resizing, cropping, etc. and saving the resulting image in a
number of formats are not possible.

Recently I discovered XV. This program runs under X-Windows and allows
you to modify GIF-files in a large extend. The user interface of
this program is rather superb. Via simple pop-up windows, clicking and
dragging you are allowed to optimize and save the view.

What I want is a program like XV but then for the PC. Is there such a
program? If there is, could somebody please mail it to me. If there is
not, perhaps it is time to think about making one...
