I used to be able assign maximum to a directory and all of the sub-directories would automatically be assigned the same rights. But now when I change the rights to a directory, I have to go into each sub-directory to change the user's rights. This problem developed after I added a new partition to the server after installing an extra hard disk. It seems that the problem is only with the older directories that existed before the installation of the disk--- newer directories seem to be okay. i.e., a change of rights to a directory affects the sub-directories, as expected. Can anyone offer any help at all? I don't read the net regularly. Please email me. I'll post the answers, if anyone is interested. Thanks, Scott. (bsp@btr.com) )
