Message-ID: <12555@ccncsu.ColoState.EDU> Date: 5 Feb 91 17:24:59 GMT Sender: news@ccncsu.ColoState.EDU Reply-To: scott@yuma.acns.colostate.edu (Scott Baily) Organization: Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO 80523 Lines: 8 Many of our IEEE 802.3 transceivers can be configured with the SQE (heartbeat) test on/off. For non-repeating devices, we configure the transcever with the test on. What would be the consequence of configuring non-repeating devices with SQE test off? What is supposed to happen when the test fails?
