Everex has one external 2400/9600 modem(MNP 5)/fax for over $300.
I did see some street price for around $265.

At Fry store, you can get
2400 pocket modem(drain power from phone line ?) for $99.(No MNP)
Frecomm 9600 internal FAX card for $149.(Included software is crude.)
Send/receieve in background. The performance is pretty good, even on a
oversea fax.
The pocket modem is a good price, though I don't know its performance.
Also you should know that the prices at Fry are not cheap which means
if you have time and effort, you can find a better price around the town.


They also have 2400 external modem with send fax only for around $135.
