(I also had a case where I answered a Newark, Delaware pay phone on 302-366 exchange, was asked by a British-sounding operator if I would accept a collect call, and I said I didn't think I could since I was on a pay phone; I started reciting the number, including the area code, where I was, and the operator said "203, 302 -- oh, wrong number.")
