Why would you want to do this? If you want to be able to edit the letterforms, use a good illustration program. On the PC, Corel Draw! has for a long time been able to do this, and still is possibly the most adept. On a Mac, the new Illustrator (3.0) can also convert Type1 fonts into editable outlines.
