I don't really have any strong preference about what X3J14 chooses to do with this as it is only a mechanical editing problem anyway to change the code. As for the X3J14 current string words, I'd like to see them thrown out too. I believe that the set of string primitives in LMI systems is much better thought out and I'd hate to abandon same in favor of the hodge-podge that is now in BASIS. We strongly support the proposals to delete ONLY/ALSO (I proposed this myself some time back, but my proposal was voted down).
