On comp.unix.admin I have been reading that perl is the greatest.
I am just getting started in UNIX ... mostly Sun SPARC so far, and
there are a growing number of UNIX systems here at my site.

I'd like to give perl a try ... and am chagrined to admit I don't
know how to get it or where to begin !!  Please enlighten me by
