For example, the line may read DATE: YYMMDD or, it may be any of the following: MMDDYY MMDDYYYY YYYYMMDD DD/MM/YY DD/MM/YYYY MM/DD/YY MM/DD/YYYY MM-DD-YYYY MM-DD-YY DD Monthname-or-abbreviation YY etc. I'd hate to reinvent the wheel on this, but I'd like to have a general date parsing facility.
