   You may want to contact a number of these '386 Unix houses like 
Interactive or ESIX and ask them what their agreements are.  Houses 
like these ussually only release binaries to thier end-users but have 
to deal with source internally.  I would imagine that they may be a 
bit reluctant to just hand over information on what their costs are.  
Who knows?...
