I've only been reading this group for a few days, so please excuse my
ignorance, but why does an alt group for msdos programmers exist?  There
is a perfectly good regular newsgroup called comp.os.msdos.programmer,
which handles exactly the subject matter as this one.  All of you know 
this, of course, because most of the messages here are cross-posted to
comp.(etc.).  What does this group do other than clutter up my already
too large .newsrc?  Just asking.
