Simple little things. I am not saying my biblio is perfect, but I store and make an effort to maintain it. For instance: %T Tutorial: Distributed Control %I IEEE Computer Society Press %C Silver Spring, MD %D 1982 has the wrong year and the wrong title (I removed the author names, they are innocent, I know). I learn this thru integration of references. The hardest things of course are mis-spelled "foreign" [non-English] names. This can be a little annoying if you are trying to find references. Certainly annoys me. This is why it is important for users of the parallel/distributed processing bibliography to get changes to me. The US Government will handle the storage and processing (your taxes pay for the disk space), just help maintain it a little.
