Tom, As you so aptly point out, LocalTalk is a nonextened network. Inside AppleTalk, Second Edition, clearly states that nonextended networks are assigned exactly one network number and exactly one zone name. Because of this, LocalTalk will never have a zone list or a network range associated with it. Also, whether a network is extended or nonextended has nothing to do with the network being AppleTalk Phase 2 or not.
