Message-ID: <6299@rupert> Date: 31 Jan 91 17:08:04 GMT Organization: MITEL Corporation, Kanata, Ontario, Canada. Lines: 28 A curious problem has popped up when trying to use the DOS pipe | or redirection > in a DesqView "BIG DOS" (ie 512k ) running within PC-NFS... This: C:\> dir > test.txt will work OK but this: H:\> dir > test.txt or this: H:\> dir c: > c:\test.txt will not work, giving an "Insufficient Memory" error after a long wait (H: is any network drive.) All these examples will work fine under DOS and PC-NFS (ie outside of DesqView). Obviously the temporary files that are created when piping fail, but why? I realize the above examples are trivial, but we need the redirection etc. to work properly for many batch files... Any ideas? -- ======================================================================== Ross Bannerman | Usenet: banner@mitel.com MITEL Corp.
