I am posting this for a friend that actually understands this stuff :-),
so please email and I will post a summary if there is any interest.

He needs a Bessel function with high precision that will handle complex
numbers. He has seen the function in "Numerical recipes in C", but it only
handles real numbers.

C or FORTRAN source is preferred, but almost anything will be accepted.
