Yes sir, I'll do whatever you say, sir. ;^) Look, if you can't comprehend why people would want organize stuff that they may want to delete into one directory, then don't worry about it. Believe me when I tell you it's a feature. > Second comment: Since each Amiga disk can have a Trashcan there is >an Empty Trash menu item, why in 1.0 - 1.3 (I don't know if 2.0 has this) >versions of Workbench was there ALSO a DISCARD menu item? As far as I could >tell, it perfoormed the exact same function MUCH faster than the Trashcan. Because you are mistaken about the trashcan. Obviously DELETING a file is the WHOLE purpose of the DISCARD menu item. Therefore, obviously there is more purpose to the trashcan than just deleting files. >Was there something special about the DISCARD command that made it different >than putting something in the Trashcan and then Emptying the Trash. Why are you bitching about features you never use? If you are happy with the delete function then have fun with it! Sheesh! OK, I'll tell you why it's a feature. Until I run out of space on a floppy I see no reason to delete files on it. So I can usually recover stuff if I make a mistake. This is a good feature for me. If you can't benefit from it then fine. But get out of my face, Ace. -- _. --Steve ._||__ DISCLAIMER: All opinions are my own. Warren v\ *| ---------------------------------------------- V {uunet, sun}!convex!swarren; swarren@convex.com
