I believe the answer to the problem was to use the RAM setting of "User" and limit the RAM available to A-Max to less than 8 megs; allocate the rest to the RAM disk. A-Max chokes on too much RAM. (you didn't say in your post how much RAM you had, but I do know A-Max works on the A3000, and the amount of RAM is the ONLY caveat I have heard of so far. Good luck!)
