It produces medium resolution print-outs (approx 100 dpi) with truly vivid colors. It does require special ribbons and paper for best results. The ribbons are not re-usable, so print-outs are more expensive than with dot-matrix printers. Also it is relatively slow, but I feel that the picture quality is woth the cost and time. If you do by an OkiMate20, you may want to consider an inexpensive dot matrix printer for printing letters and other text; it will be much faster and more efficient than using the okimate for non-graphics applications.
