Lines: 28 Hi folks.... I'm working to get a Betacam editing deck to work as a single frame recorder to use with Toaster's Lightwave... The Deck has an RS-422 interface... I'm in search of some general information regarding what might be required to run the Betacam deck using only Amy's serial port. I intend to figure out a way to bypass the need for a $$$$ controler. Please respond with any information that might help... I'll probably use AREXX or complied BASIC to generate the controling data and send it to the serial port.... I only intend to do ONE-WAY communication.... Amiga > Betacam. I really don't need to process signals from the Betacam (as far as I can tell). So as I see it, I need to convert the RS-232 to RS-422, and write some software that can have some control of the deck's basic functions. I've not done anything like this before, so..... as I mentioned, please send along any thoughts, info. or experience you might have on this subject.... Thanks! -Mike-
