It's a lovely little machine. My wife uses one for professional desktop publishing (using ProPage) and gets excellent results. Just select the HP LaserJet driver and away you go. More memory is a good idea if you can afford it. If not, you can always add it in later. The printer comes with 512K standard, we added another 3 megs and have no problems at all. We've also added the Pacific Page PostScript cartridge - ProPage works just fine with it too, although now we select PostScript output instead of dot matrix, so the LaserJet driver isn't needed any more.
