Here's the situ: I uuencoded a ST binary and split the resulting file into three pieces. Copied those to ms-dos format floppies and brought them home to my Mega/STe. Copies the files onto the HD and ran Gulam so I could 'cat' them together. Right? Wrong. Not. I also tried 'cat filename' and nothing was shown on the screen. Hmmm. 'ue' loads and modifies the files just fine. 'cat' still won't show the file. Created a new file with 'ue' and that does 'cat' properly. What's going on? Hints? Ideas? Also, atari.archive has Gulam 1.03.04.05 12/18/87. Is that the last version known? Is src available? Seems like a really nice shell and it would be a shame to see it perish. Thanx. Joe -=-
