Summary: trouble getting in, 'unrecognized TERM type' Keywords: Elvis, TERM evironment variable Message-ID: <22704@netcom.UUCP> Date: 3 Feb 91 21:32:20 GMT Organization: Netcom- The Bay Area's Public Access Unix System {408 241-9760 guest} Lines: 16 This may sound silly, but has anyone out there gotten Elvis to work on the ST? My problem is that, when I invoke (provoke?) Elvis, I always get the message 'unrecognized TERM type'. I am running with Gulam v. 1.04.05 with the TERM variable set to 'st', the TERMCAP variable containing the termcap entry for 'st' and an \etc\termcap file with an entry for 'st'. This same setup works with GNU Emacs and the recently-posted less v. 97 (and no, I'm not running Mint either!). I got my version of Elvis from panarthea. Any ideas? I even tried to run without the TERM variable, just got kicked out again with 'TERM variable must be set'. Talk about Catch-22!
