Message-ID: Date: 31 Jan 91 00:32:17 GMT Sender: news@pasteur.Berkeley.EDU Lines: 17 The subject line says it all. We're thinking about purchasing the WandDAT 2600 tape drive, but a little concerned that it won't work on our 3100's (under ultrix 4.1). Has anybody got any experiences to share? mark ps: From what I can gather the 2.6Gig stored is a little bogus, since the storing algorithm uses compression. What if I try to store an already compressed file? Then it seems that I will only get 1.3Gig on it (or am I misunderstanding the device?). -- "There's a really fine line between clever and stupid" Nigel- Lead Guitar (Spinal Tap) jmn@united.berkeley.edu, or jmn@power.berkeley.edu
