In Computer Design, January, 1991, there's the cover story, "30 Years in
the Transformation of Electronics and the World."  This story may help
with research as far as some of the chips/systems HP worked on.  If this
isn't what you were looking for, I'm sorry.  I think it's a very
interesting article, though, and HP is certainly mentioned...Scotty.
