I have a Packard Bel PC 286 with a Packard Bell mouse (which is labelled as Microsoft serial compatible). I've just got a hand scanner called Info Scan (by Primax) that includes a couple of graphics programs to edit scanned images (the nicest one is a thing called La Palette). The installation for the software asks what type of mouse, so I said Microsoft serial (it also allowed for others: PS/2, Logitech, Mouse Systems). The thing is the mouse doesn't work. It almost does - when I move it, it randomly moves the mouse cursor sometimes. The package works under MS Windows 2.0, (a run-time version of this is supplied). The installation diskettes include mouse drivers. Has anyone any clues? Thanks for your help. Jim Snowden snowden@sequoia.cray.com
