I've tried to connect my drive to either XT- and AT-type computer. When program leaves drive on the track 00 after read/write completion and controller selects another (5") drive, it may be unable to read/write 3" disk once more (system message is: Unable to read ...). After manual heads moving from track 00 all is OK again. I've tested TRACK00 and READY pins on interface cable - ALL OK. This drive was rescued from Amstrad PPC-640 portable computer, where it works sucessfully. Amstrad interface cable checkings have a folowing results: It uses unknown (to me) signals on pin 2 and 4 of cable. I need help on this problem. Does anyone know this pin value? What can I do with my drive or controller ? Thanks... -- Alex G.
