I've heard Canvas will let you specify/filter a scaled bitmap down
to a specific dpi value.  I have a large scanned image that I scale
down in MacDraw so it looks decent on a LaserWriter, but it takes
a real long time to print.

Will Canvas or any other app let me down scale a big scan but select
the dpi so that I get easy control over size, good print quality, and
printing speed?  Does a 300x300 bitmap get printed faster on a LW than
some other scale bitmap?

Do I even know what I'm talking about?
