Does anyone know anything more about Apple's plans? In particular, will it be possible for a Mac user to simultaneously access the remote Appletalk network and local Appletalk devices like a laserwriter? What hardware will be required on the network end? Will the software support compression modems, or does it require full duplex minimal-delay (e.g. v.32)? Presumably the Apple software will not allow the Mac at home to function as a fullfledged half-router. Or will it? Suppose the Mac at home also has the Apple Internet Router software; will this allow dialup appletalk connections between two *networks*? -- JQ Johnson Director of Network Services Internet: jqj@oregon.uoregon.edu University of Oregon voice: (503) 346-4394 250E Computing Center BITNET: jqj@oregon Eugene, OR 97403-1212 fax: (503) 346-4397
