Sure, becuase the problem is usually inside the cartrige itself. As I mentioned in a previous post, the corona wire in the slot on top of the cartridge probably needs cleaning. If you are on a budget where you do not have to worry about the number of cartridges used, you can just toss the cartridge, but if you just clean the corona wire, you can get more life out of the cartridge. We know this. We are on a budget. BTW, in my experience there is a point where the line caused by the dirty corona wire actually bakes onto the drum in the cartridge.
