Summary: Is there one? Keywords: news email reader stack modem serial Message-ID: <1991Feb4.114834.15590@bradley.bradley.edu> Date: 4 Feb 91 11:48:34 GMT Sender: news@bradley.bradley.edu Distribution: usa Organization: Bradley University Lines: 23 Nntp-Posting-Host: buhub.bradley.edu Does anyone know of a Hypercard stack news reader/email reader that allows one to use serial communications (that is, a modem) to connect with the host/server? All the news readers I've seen, while using Hypercard, require a network connection (no modems need apply). While I have access to Macs hooked to a network, my bosses would frown on such uses for company machines. The email readers have mostly been the same...Eudora is an exception, but it isn't Hypercard....(and I can't get it to work anyway). I'd try to hack one up myself, but when I even think about it, I am VERY aware of my LACK of knowledge to make such a thing work.... Any help/pointers/etc. would be appreciated.... -- Kevin Payne "You're going to find that many of railfan@buhub.bradley.edu truths we hold dear depend greatly *or* on our point of view..." kpayne@heartland.bradley.edu --Obi-Wan Kenobi =============================================================================
